Computer Lab Policies and Procedures
Print PageNO FOOD OR DRINK is allowed in any computer lab
These are just a few rules that we ask you to follow in order for the computer lab to run smoothly.
Lab monitors maintain the printers. They will add paper, fix any paper jams or other problems, and change the toner/ink cartridges. We appreciate you allowing them to do their job.
We ask that you consult a lab monitor if you need assistance. Beverly and Bret will be around but they are also busy helping faculty.
If you need assistance please understand that there are a lot of students and only a few people to help. So, as the saying goes, "Patience is a virtue."
We know that you have emergencies but we ask that you behave in an appropriate manner and understand that we are here to help you.
Please do not trash anything on the computer's hard drive or desktop. Please save your work in your "My Documents" folder or on your desktop.
If you borrow anything please return it to the place where you got it!
Please make a note of when large format printing hours end. All large format prints must be submitted no less than 30 minutes before closing. Please do not ask the lab monitors to stay late. They have classes and assignments to complete too.
Computer Lab Printing Prices
All labs are open 24 hours for general usage and laser printing.
The computer lab will not accept IOUs for prints. You may view your prints but they will not be released to until you have paid for them. There is an ATM across the street at the Jayhawk Bookstore if you are short on cash. We do accept checks but please, no checks under $2.00. You may also charge plots or recharge your printing account from your KU Card/Beak'em bucks. We do expect you to pay for all prints. Always preview first to avoid mistakes.

* Line drawings must have white or transparent background. Any line drawing with background fill color will be charged at the graphics price.
** Linear ft. pricing rounded to nearest linear ft. on 36” wide roll (42” for glossy). Example a 36” x 60” graphics print on opaque media will cost $ 9.40. A 28” x 64” graphics print on glossy media will cost $ 21.90.
Large format printing hours:
Monday thru Thursday - 8.00am to 11.00 pm
Friday - 8.00am to 4.30pm
Saturday - 12:00pm to 6:00pm
Sunday - 12.00pm to 11.00pm
