The studio environment gives students a chance to learn about the benefits of working in a networked environment. From working with team based projects to integrating the internet into their design students are able to use technology to enhance the traditional design sequence. Beginning in the 3rd year, students enrolled in the studio will be required to provide their own computers and software. Minimum recommendations are:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.00GHz (T6400) minimum

4GB RAM memory

200 GB HDD

CDRW/DVD+RW Combo Drive

256 MB Video Card (not integrated) ATI (AMD) or NVIDIA recommended

17" LCD Display

802.11G Wi-Fi

Windows XP Pro SP3 or Windows Vista

3YR Onsite Warranty with Accidental Damage Coverage

Students are not required to purchase machines with these exact specifications; however these specifications should be used as a guide for determining what to look for.
